His new power is:

L: +2.00/-0.50×135
Addition: +1.25
With his own spec power, he was seeing a compromised vision – seeing far is slightly blurry as +2.75 is slightly higher than his actual power of +2.25/+2.00 and seeing near is still okay with reading material held further away as he has extra +0.50/+0.75 power from +2.75 that enables him to use it to see near.
We have explained and let him compare between his own glasses and new power. He has opted for multifocal/three power in which power progresses from top(far power) to middle(intermediate power) to bottom(near power) for clear & comfortable vision at all different distances.
