Mr Chong came for an eye examination complaining blurry near vision with existing glasses. He is a gem cutter who carves gold & diamond who needs to do very fine details in which he uses a separate reading glasses for work.
Examination showed:
R: +2.50/-2.25×170 (6/9) Addition:+2.75
L: +0.50/-2.00×20 (6/15) Addition: +3.25
Mr Chong had cataract surgery in his left eye many years back. He reported that after cataract surgery, due to itchiness, he rubbed his eye that had caused the new lens to have dislocation inside his eye and lens went out of place. He went back to his doctor & was on another surgery to place the lens back. He said his eye doctor mentioned it was lucky that the lens wasn’t hardened in place yet, otherwise, he would need to purchase a new lens to replace. This eye has poorer vision as compared to vision of his another cataractous eye. Therefore, it is important not to rub your eyes after cataract surgery.
