Mr Khor (M/43) came in for an eye examination, with existing glasses his far vision is okay but near vision is not satisfactory, with no other complaint.
Upon examination, his power is:
R: -4.25/-2.00×20 (6/7.5)
L: -3.25/-1.75×180 (6/7.5)
Add: +1.25 (N5@40cm)
Examination showed that his far power is almost the same with his existing glasses and now he has reading power. Everyone will have reading power once we enter our 40s. It is completely normal, I think you might hear us saying this many times now???? For those who have high minus power/myopia will have their reading power come slightly later. Those who do not wear glasses or those who have plus power/hyperopia for far vision will have their reading power earlier.
