Ms Yeong came for eye examination, complaining of tired eyes and headache especially after near work.
Examination shows:
R: +1.75/-0.75×95 (6/6)
L: +1.75/-0.50×75 (6/6)
Add: +2.25 (N5240cm)
Ms Yeong has longsighted power/plus power of 175 and slight astigmatism of 050 & 075. People with longsighted power might say.. i can see perfectly fine last time.. yes, normally you may not need glasses when you were younger as your natural lens inside eye is still strongly flexible to auto correct the power for you to see clearly. As we age, our natural lens ages too, in a way that it loses elasticity to exert the power for you anymore, so now you will need to wear glasses.. and thats it! You are seeing the world clearly back again! Just like Ms Yeong. She does not really have cataract yet, hence seeing good 6/6 vision after spectacle correction, and thats great!
If you do not wear your glasses, you force your eyes to work extra hard to auto correct longsighted power, this causes you headache. Give the power your eyes need is all you need to do. Wear glasses & no more headache/blur vision! This the easy magic trick?

Happy to see Ms Yeong’s chirpy personality, and she has told us that the nosepad is sitting slightly tight on her nose, in which we have advised her to come back to refine the adjustment.
