Seeing Double?

  • Post author:

Mr Low initially came for eye examination complaining double vision with both eyes since few days ago, he needed to close one year to avoid seeing double vision. He has hypertension and he has history of stroke previously. He wears reading glasses only.

Vision without glasses:
R: 6/15
L: 6/12-

Examination showed:
R: +1.00/-1.00×90 (6/9-)
L: +0.50/-1.50×90 (6/7.5)
Add: +2.50 (N6@40cm)

We referred Mr Low to see an eye doctor/ophthalmologist for further treatment & management. He has visited Dr Ranu and was diagnosed as having Right 6th nerve palsy & Right nasal pterygium. Thank you to Dr Ranu & optometrists for seeing this patient.

Mr Low came back to make glasses. Since he has not worn any glasses before, we let him compare & see the difference of having correction for his far vision. He can decide if he wants to wear glasses to see far as he rides motorbike getting around every day. Having astigmatism of 100 and above normally would need correction especially for driving and particularly night driving. And he has quite significant pterygium, tissue growth on whitish part of eye that keeps growing to the centre part of eye which requires surgical removal from eye doctor. Also, he has arcus seniles, whitish ring around his eye indicating a need to have his cholesterol checked.

Mr Low has opted for a pair of multifocal glasses that enables him from seeing far to seeing near conveniently. He has rocked it with double bar frame of Bling with Hoya Lifestyle 3 Sensity Brown that changes into dark brown for comfortable vision riding under the sun.

Pterygium and Arcus seniles

Happy to hear that Mr Low can see comfortably clear at all distances now.

Thank you Mr Low for your trust & support!?
