Normally, first & foremost, we will ask you the line on testing chart that you can see without glasses. This will allow us to have a rough estimate of your shortsighted power. For eg. Mr Chua is seeing line 6/24 blurry on testing chart, we will use the bottom number of 24 to be divided by fixed number of 18.. that will be the rough estimated shortsighted power. But, if there is previous trauma to the eye or other pathological eye condition, this may not be applicable.
It seems that Mr Chua has higher shortsighted power. Wearing over power, your eyes tend to get tired easily. He said that his previous glasses were shortsighted power of 500+. We suggest that he can wear new reading glasses more during this MCO as we stay indoor most of the time now.
We will see him to reassess his vision again soon.
