Aunty Ajit had her cataract surgery in right eye last month and she came back to update us about it. Her right eye has mild redness & she said she notices that her right eye seems to be smaller than the other eye with no pain. Her eye doctor/ophthalmologist has prescribed her lubricating eye drop and told her that her eye is fine. Yes, as her cataract was very densed, it will take longer recovery time for the eye to settle down. She may get non-preservative artificial tears to moisten the eye generously so that her eye feels more comfortable during this recovery. On the medication for her mild redness, we are unable to advise as medication is not in our capacity.
Aunty Ajit said she can see better & that’s great! Due to the other eye having higher power, it is better to have cataract surgery in the other eye as well. After that, she will rest for at least 3 months.. we will see her again to see check her power & glasses can be prescribed by then.
Aunty Ajit, speedy recovery to you?
