Madam Chong (F/62) came for eye examination complaining blurry far vision with existing glasses.
Upon examination, her new power:
R: +1.75/-0.75×75 (6/12)
L: +1.25/-0.25×170 (6/12)
Add: + 2.75
Her far power has reduced 075 from her old power. As cataract gets thicker, it induces myopia or minus power, so having hyperopia/plus power means your power will be reduced giving you “Second Sight” as if you can see better even without glasses. This condition is called myopic shift and it is a temporary phase only. This “Second Sight” will go away when cataract lens becomes worse.
Madam Chong has wanted a new pair of glasses looking great, departing from her existing squarish plastic frame.
