Mr M (M/58 yo) complained of glaring issue with existing glasses. He has worn his existing glasses for about 3years and his glasses have quite some scratches.
Upon examination, he can attain optimum vision at far & near with optimum power correction. He can see even the smallest line for far vision and smallest print for near vision. That’s great as he is a front liner! He wears multifocal lenses (without line) that enable him from seeing far to seeing near clearly, great option for him as he needs to multitask fast in a healthcare environment.
Lets bless him and all frontliners with good optimum vision for frontliners have been keeping us safe during this whole pandemic????????
He has very high astigmatism about -3.50 on both eyes, so he is in need of optimum astigmatism correction to help him see clearly and to solve his glaring issue.
Also, scratches can cause scattering light. As light passes through your lens, light is blocked by scratches and so light is scattered around causing you to feel very ‘silau’. We always love to tell our customers to come back to service your glasses. If we service and maintain it regularly, we can keep the lenses in good condition then our eyes are most relaxed seeing through these good clarity lenses.
So lets sayang our glasses by:
1) service your glasses regularly at our premise (tighten screws, change nosepads, clean/wash your glasses)
2) use microfibre cloth to wipe your lenses (NO using your clothes, tissue – as it may have tiny sands on your clothes that may cause scratches when you wipe your lenses with it; tissue is too rough for your lenses)
3) use lens spray to clean your lenses and wipe with microfibre cloth
4) use lens wipe for convenience when you are out & about, you have something handy to quickly clean your lenses and good to go
5) if you find your glasses keep slipping down, do come back to refine/tighten the adjustment
6) for kids, we will give sling or removable rubber ear lock for better grip at back of ears or you may opt for the functional E-Lock frame that grips at back of ears
