Esther SIL

Esther (F/42) came for eye examination, with complaint of lens coating that has peeled off. She is contact lens wearer most of the days.

Vision without glasses

Examination shows: (Delay Fogging)
R: -6.75/-0.25×180 (6/6) [+1.00 blur lens test: 6/15-, 6/12-] (R: right dominant eye) R>L
L: -6.75/-0.75×5 (6/6) [+1.00 blur lens test: 6/12]
Add: +1.25 (L>R)

Interpupillary distance, IPD = 6.2cm

Fluorescein (assess integrity of front surface of eye, cornea)
R: +ve mild staining inferiorly
L: +ve mild staining inferiorly (L>R)

We ask whether or not Esther feels her eyes are dry.. more on her left eye.. and she said her left eye feels the irritation more. We advise to lay off contact lens temporarily & use non-preservative gel artificial tears.

Esther reported that she feels dizzy with this lowered power. She feels more comfortable in -6.75DS.
