Yau (F/13) came for eye examination, complaining blurry far vision.

Vision with own glasses of 2years:
R: -1.00/-1.00×90 (6/18-)
L: -0.75/-0.75×85 (6/15-)

Examination shows:
R: -2.00/-1.25×90 (6/6)
L: -1.50/-1.00×85 (6/6)

Yau’s shortsighted power/myopia has increased 050/year averagely. If power progression is more than 075 in a year, it is a red flag already. Yau is on the borderline, so parents want to start her on myopia control management to minimise the power progression. Her brother previously was on atropine too when he was younger. Brother’s power is R: -6.50/-0.75×40 (6/6) & L: -5.75/-1.75×165 (6/6). Parents reported power was stable a bit after atropine, otherwise with big power increment every year.

Yau is on atropine now, and we will see her again in 4-6 weeks after fulltime wear of new glasses.
