Yan Xin (F/18) came for eye examination, vision with existing glasses of is fine.

Own glasses of 1year

R: -7.00 (6/6)

L: -5.75 (6/6)

Examination shows:

R: -6.75/-0.75×180 (6/6)

L: -5.25/-1.00×180 (6/6)

Yan Xin has shortsighted power 675 & 525 and astigmatism 075 & 100 in right & left eye respectively. Her previous glasses do not have astigmatic correction, despite being able to see 6/6 optimum line. Having astigmatism corrected would mean that she will see smaller alphabets more distinctly sharp. Otherwise, light going into the eye will be scattered, hence complaint of glaring, especially your night vision.

Shortsighted power of more than 500 is considered high myopia, indicating that your eyeball has stretched longer than usual. Technology is great, opting for high index lens and aspheric or even double aspheric can give us a cosmetically thin & light lens to your taste & preference. But how about the already longer eyeball? We want to do all we can to reduce the progression of myopia or better to maintain the power.

Yan Xin has good accommodation(focusing) & convergence, so she has no near work complaint. For teenagers or young adults who start to have a lot near work, if you experience any complaint – only after doing near work, you probably need an eye examination.

Yan Xin has chosen a metal rim enveloped in plastic frame of Supreme to pair with blue filter Kodak UVBlue.. all geared for a refreshing outlook in a brand new virtual semester, unlocked in the new norm.

Happy to hear that the glasses are “so far so good”, Yan Xin?

Thank you Yan Xin for your trust & support!?
