Regular Break In Between Screen Time?

  • Post author:

Ting (F/16), Mr Loo’s daughter came with Mr Loo for eye examination, vision with existing glasses is fine.

Vision with existing glasses of 2years:

R: -3.50/-0.75×175 (6/7.5)

L: -2.75/-0.50×5 (6/7.5)

Examination showed:

R: -3.50/-1.25×175 (6/6) [+1.00 6/12]

L: -2.75/-1.00×180 (6/6) [+1.00 6/12]

Ting’s astigmatism has increased 050 in both eyes while having her shortsighted power remained and that’s great! Nowadays, we see the trend of increment in shortsighted power among children, especially now that everything is pushed online be it learning or entertainment with the use of digital devices. We know that excessive near work/too much of screen time may lead to increase of shortsighted power/myopia. Thus, having regular break in between screen time is crucial to allow our eye focusing system/our eye muscles to have adequate rest, rather than to keep them working auto focusing for us the whole day. We also need to take a break in between tasks, so do our eyes.

Mr Loo has strongly recommended Ting to try Penada, the comfort of its nosepad that wins his heart. Ting initially wanted to go for Korean style.. she eventually just chills with Penada black roundy frame to pair with ILT Beyond420.

Thank you Ting & Mr Loo for your trust & support!?
