Mr Maniyam (M/56) came to make a new pair of spectacles as his glasses were broken. Vision with current glasses is fine and he removes glasses to see near.

R: -4.00 (6/6) [+1.00 6/6-]
L: -4.00 (6/6) [+1.00 6/9-]
Add: +0.50
Examination showed:
R: -3.50/-0.75×105 (6/6)
L: -3.75/-0.50×90 (6/6)
Add: +2.25 (N5@40cm)
Mr Maniyam’ shortsighted power has come down 050 & 025 and he has mild astigmatism of 075 & 50 in right and left eye respectively. He can still see the smallest line on testing chart with his own glasses but with new power having astigmatism correction, he can see distinctly sharp. He has slight yellowish on the natural lens inside eye, indicating cataract is still very mild.. on top of attaining good 6/6 vision.
Mr Maniyam stays with his elderly mum. He is concerned of contracting COVID virus from his encounter with customers, and that he will bring the virus back home. He is contemplating to move out of the house to stay elsewhere & this seems to have caused some worries in him. As long as we practise good hygiene & maintain SOP diligently, we should be fine.. with God’s willing. Your mother would be worried for you too should you move out all of a sudden. Family is where the heart is❤️
