To Have Over Power In Your Prescription?

  • Post author:

Mr Malinder (M/49) came to make a new pair of glasses, he has brought his new eye prescription along & was told about decrease in his eye power. He reported having scar in his right eye due to previous eye infection of chicken pox, and this may mean that vision in this eye may be reduced. Mr Malinder brought her daughter Harleen to make her glasses with us previously.

Own glasses of 5years:
R: -4.50/-1.25×115 (6/6) [+1.00 6/7.5+]
L: -5.00/-0.75×90 (6/6)
Add: +1.50

New power:
R: -4.50/-1.25×115 (6/6)
L: -5.00/-0.75×90 (6/6)
Add: +2.00 (N5@40cm)

Mr Malinder’s own eye prescription showed shortsighted power that has come down 075 in right eye, so when we put the lowered power in, he said vision was blurry. So, we increased back his power to the power similar to his own glasses only, achieving satisfactory vision for him. This over power, in a sense, gives him to see far better, as he drives a lot. Therefore, the power prescribed is about the right power that meets your expectation on your vision.. all for a satisfactory, comfortable vision.

Mr Malinder is very used to having small metal frame, but this time around, he has chosen small plastic ultem frame of Champion for a different look. To pair with Kodak Atlas EvoBlue with Night Vision, for an auto colour changing whenever he is outdoors in the sun, with blue filter and glaring-cut vision.

Happy to hear that the vision is “perfectly fine” now, Mr Malinder?

Thank you Mr Malinder & wifey for your trust & support!?
