Eye Points & Multifocal?

Mr Kevin came for eye examination complaining eye fatigue, vision with current glasses of 5 years is fine seeing far, but cannot see near and he removes glasses to see near.

Vision with existing glasses:
R: -6.00/-1.50×90 (6/7.5-)
L: -6.00/-1.25×90 (6/7.5-)
Add: +1.50

Examination showed:
R: -5.25/-1.50×90 (6/6-)
L: -5.25/-1.25×90 (6/6-)
Add: +2.00 (N5@40cm)

Mr Kevin’ shortsighted power has come down 075 in both eyes and astigmatism power remains the same. He has some mild yellowish on the natural lens inside the eye for both eyes, and this condition is what we term as cataract/“selaput”. The natural lens is transparent in nature, it gradually turns yellowish upon exposure to UV/the sun. When we are outdoors in the sun, our natural lens helps to filter UV and in turn, it slowly turns yellowish over the years. This is when we start to have cataract in old age. Some people may find that their powers reduce when they start having cataract too.

Mr Kevin has wanted a comfortable frame, no pressing feeling on both sides of head at all. The one comes to his liking & expectation is the stainless steel frame of 2011, an entirely screwless eyewear.. giving lightweight & ultimate flexibility on the side grip that we can adjust to your preference. To pair with Essilor Varilux X in Blue Capture.

Mr Kevin had a not-so-pleasant encounter the last time when he made his existing multifocal glasses with Essilor lenses too at his previous optical practice. He did not find it comfortable wearing them in which he returned to have the lenses remade. So, he has particularly conveyed to us that he is very sensitive to the eye points. We apologise for his previous experience that he encountered previously and we reassure him that we will ascertain the eye points manually as well as digitally for precision in measurement taking. We also feel appreciative and we thank Mr Kevin for sharing your concern with us and that we will have your concern in our mind.

Happy that you can wear your glasses comfortably now Mr Kevin?

Thank you Mr Kevin for your trust & support!?
