Mr Kingsley came for eye examination to make a new pair of glasses, vision with existing glasses of 2years+ is fine.
Own glasses:
R: -13.00/-0.50×20 (6/18)
L: -10.75/-0.75×65 (6/6)
Examination showed:
R: -13.50/-0.75×20 (6/15) PHNI
L: -10.75/-0.75×65 (6/6)
Mr Kingsley has very high shortsighted power in both his eyes. Having such shortsighted power, he is not advisable to go for bungee jumping as it may pose greater risk for retinal detachment. Mr Kingsley said, “Ooh nooo.. why would I want to go for bungee jumping?!” And we all went laughing out loud. And I said, “Your son might want you to accompany him to try it next time”? Besides avoiding these thrilling activities, he is also advised to go for dilated eye examination, to be examined by ophthalmologist/eye doctor every year. Pupil will be dilated so that eye doctor can check the integrity of the back part of our eye, our retina.. considering so high power in which eyeball is stretched much longer.
Mr Kingsley also has lazy eye/amblyopia in his right eye in which vision cannot be improved to seeing smaller lines on testing chart. By looking through a small pinhole, he is unable to see smaller lines, this is what we term as ‘pinhole no improvement’(PHNI). If looking through pinhole, vision is improved.. and it means his vision can still be improved & corrected until that particular line seen.
Mr Kingsley has rocked it with Armani Exchange in its acetate thick side of frame to shield the lens thickness, with spring at side of temples for a comfortable grip. To pair with Zeiss SmartLife clear lenses with double UV protection, with front & back surface of lens that are fully UV protected.
Glad to hear that the glasses are good & happy to hear that you will come by to service your glasses?
Thank you Mr Kingsley, Michelle & Alexander for your trust & support!?
* we will talk about Alexander’s vision in a separate post
